This is a beautiful early Koos Van Den Akker dress from the 70s. It combines three different fabrics: cream lace, cream and soft charcoal grey windowpane printed silk, and a contrasting charcoal and cream striped silk. The lace is inset along the bodice and sleeves to create sheer detailing. There is a lace frill at the collar, waist, and hem, and the neckline has two ties. The skirt is a full circle skirt made from the windowpane print. The fit is fairly relaxed, and the waist has elastic giving some flexibility to the sizing. It zips up on the side with a metal zipper and has two snaps on the inside of the bodice.
This is a rare and stunning vintage piece! It's currently giving us Taylor Swift Folklore vibes!
COLOR: Beige, charcoal
MATERIAL: 100% Silk
LABEL: Koos Van Den Akker
CONDITION: Overall very good condition condition. One small portion of the lace trim at waist got stitched at the waist seam and is slightly raised. There is some very faint staining on the skirt throughout the side and around the back, like sprayed water drops that are almost unnoticeable. It was very difficult to photograph as it is so faint. The back of the collar lace frill has a very faint red mark, maybe lipstick. On the front skirt there is a very faint round stain that’s almost a pale pale brown, just below the waist - Photographed in last photo. The back skirt has two small holes near the hem and one very faint hole near the top of back skirt. These are very unnoticeable, but please don't hesitate to ask if you would like photos.
